Eczema Things

Because my fingers need something else to do, other than scratching that itch.

Dust. Anybody? No? Dust.

ecztastic:

Dust is bad for your skin, especially if you have a skin condition. So, unfortunately, I have to make a point about cleanliness - I’m not saying that you guys are unhygienic. I’m stressing the importance of dust-free environments.

I know that chores are boring and suckish and when someone asks you to to tidy up it’s as though they’ve asked you to climb a mountain. Unless you have OCD. In which case, carry on you busy, dust-free people!

Before you all do this:

cleaning and dusting is worth the effort. I know it’s bizarre that I’m stressing hygiene because it’s a basic principle, but sometimes (and I put my hand up and admit to doing this myself), we forget or get lazy and just leave things alone.

It’s important to keep your living environment dust-free and fresh - e.g. keep the windows open if it isn’t too cold (for fresh air) and polish/dust/hoover. If you’re like me and have extremely sensitive eczema, you might want to wear a pair of cotton gloves when you polish and dust, because even the dust particles or product you dust with can affect your skin. You don’t want that now, do you?
